LCA and EPD, commitment and accountability for the environment
STIFERITE was among the first companies in Europe to obtain the international certifications of environmental sustainability LCA (Life Cycle Assessment) and EPD (Environmental Product Declaration), validating them at the renowned environmental certification body BU (Institut Bauen und Umwelt e.V.). The study to which insulations were tested, underlines the limited resource consumption and the low environmental impact of the overall production chain: these figures can be used to show that in a building realised with STIFERITE panels, the energy consumption necessary for their own production, is already amortised in the first year of the heating/cooling system working.
With the purpose of facilitating the sustainable and eco-friendly design, STIFERITE joined the voluntary environmental sustainability brand established by ANPE (National Association of Rigid Polyurethane Foam) and it made available the following publications:
- Leed mapping of its insulation panels, according to protocols version 3 and 4;
- compliance with the Minimum Environmental Criteria (CAM) in accordance with the italian law.
In addition to the environmental certifications, STIFERITE has multiple certifications; in this way we guarantee that our products and process are in compliance with the law.
