Pomezia in 1959<\/strong> when the STIFER company, founded by Ferdinando Stimamiglio, produced the post-war period most popular domestic appliances: refrigerators and freezers.<\/p>\n<p>In 1963 Ferdinando Stimamiglio, in order to improve his products\u2019 performances, sensed the potential of a polymer with excellent thermal insulation characteristics:<strong> the Expanded Polyurethane<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p>In the same year,<strong> the worlds\u2019 first plant for continuous manufacturing of <a href=\"https:\/\/www.isocanale.com\/en\/polyurethane-panels\/\">rigid expanded polyurethane panels<\/a> with flexible coatings<\/strong> was installed. The product was named <strong>STIFERITE<\/strong> using the root of the company name, Stifer (from STImamiglio FERdinando), and the suffix -ITE, indicative of ThErmal Insulators. The amount of resources used to produce STIFERITE\u2019s panels needed to insulate a living quarter, are widely given back to the environment in heat energy saving within one the first year.<\/p>\n<p>STIFERITE has always been very sensitive to environmental issues, for this reason in 2006 it developed a study of LCA (Life Cycle Analysis) of all its\u2019 panels based on the International norm ISO Serie 14040 using the data bank of Bousted Model as an instrument of support.<\/p>\n<p>As of 2003 all of Stiferite\u2019s panels are packaged with the CE marking label, so as to show its\u2019 conformity to the harmonized European norm UNI EN 13165.<\/p>\n<p>STIFERITE products are subjected to all the verifications required by the Quality System ISO 9001 certification.<\/p>\n<p>STIFERITE is certified by the norm, OHSAS 18001, specific to the safety of its\u2019 employees. STIFERITE has also obtained the voluntary certification ISO 14001 for its own environmental management system, committed to systematically control the environmental impact of the company\u2019s
